It has been a tradition to take family photos every year around Leah’s birthday. But the last two and half years we haven’t and it’s been tugging at my momtographer heart!
Leah’s birthday session is always a full-on production and something I love to do! She’s growing so fast and I want to make sure I have as many memories as possible for her. I want her to look back and understand how much she was loved and cared for.
But the last two years I’ve had braces. I never felt embarrassed to have braces as an adult. It was something I truly wanted to do and it was worth the pain lol! However, I was self-conscious of smiling with braces because, well, they are straight up ugly! No other way to put it!
So after, two long years I finally have my smile back and most of all my confidence to smile again. I feel so free and liberated to have accomplished this goal! It was time to get back to our tradition and finally take our annual family photos.
